What to expect:
Before the treatment
- Avoid alcohol , aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, Aleve), heavy amounts of garlic or Omega 3 for 48 hours
- Hair transplant patients can receive PRP injections at any time after transplant
During treatment
- Opportunity to discuss treatment plan
- Topical numbing cream used
- Minimal to moderate discomfort
After treatment
- Bruising and redness are rare however there may be mild tenderness of the scalp for 24-48 hours post-treatment
- The numbing ointment used can be quite greasy so prepare to jump in the shower when you get home
- Most clients start to notice thicker and fuller hair between the 2nd and 3rd treatment
- 3 treatments are optimal, usually booked 6-8 weeks apart
- Re-book every 12 months to maintain volume or every 6-8 weeks months to build volume
