What you need to know:
Applying filler under or around the eye can fool people into thinking you’ve slept well your whole life!
Careful placement of hyaluronic acid into the tear trough (under-eye) or the orbital hollows (the ridges around the eye) can give you a smooth and more youthful appearance! Think about how much you could save by cutting concealer!
What to expect:
Before the treatment
- Avoid alcohol , aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, Aleve), heavy amounts of garlic or Omega 3 for 48 hours
- No heat laser treatments 6 weeks before
During treatment
- Opportunity to discuss treatment plan
- Topical numbing cream and injectable anesthetic is used to mitigate pain
- Minimal discomfort due to the use of a cannula
After treatment
- Bruising is a risk however it is very RARE due to the use of a cannula
- Follow-up in 6-8 weeks to check for symmetry and/or possible 2nd treatment (rare)
- No heat laser treatments in the area for at least 6 weeks
- Re-book every 9-12 months to maintain volume or every 2-3 months to build volume
